How to Thaw & Prepare

Thawing: Transfer from freezer to refrigerator 12–24 hours before cooking. For quicker thawing, place the sealed pack in a bowl of cold water for 30–60 minutes.

Never thaw at room temperature or in warm water. This breaks down texture and freshness.

Once thawed: Cook within 24 hours for best results. Do not refreeze.

The Del Puerto restaurant-grade seafood standard

What Restaurant-Grade Means

The Del Puerto Standard

  • Sourced where Manila's chefs source

We buy from the same Metro Manila suppliers that stock the city's top restaurants. Same suppliers, same cuts, now available for your home kitchen.

  • Frozen within hours, at peak

Our seafood is frozen within hours of catch using sushi-grade temperature standards. Every cut is paused at its absolute best. No days of degradation, no malansa, no mystery.

  • Vacuum-sealed, restaurant standard

Every cut is vacuum-sealed to lock out air and moisture. No freezer burn, no texture loss. The same cold chain restaurants rely on for consistency.

  • Arrives frozen, or it's free

Insulated packaging with dry ice, tested in Metro Manila heat and traffic. If your order arrives thawed, full refund and you keep the product. Zero risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does frozen seafood last in my freezer?

Our vacuum-sealed seafood stays fresh for up to 12 months in a standard home freezer at -18°C or below. For the best taste and texture, we recommend consuming within 6 months.

How do I thaw frozen seafood properly?

Transfer from freezer to refrigerator 12 to 24 hours before cooking. For quicker thawing, place the sealed pack in a bowl of cold water for 30 to 60 minutes. Never thaw at room temperature or in warm water as this breaks down texture and freshness.

What if my order arrives slightly thawed?

Slight thawing during delivery is completely normal and does not affect quality or safety. Our insulated packaging with dry ice keeps products at safe temperatures throughout transit. As long as the product is still cold to the touch, it's perfectly fine. Simply place it in your freezer right away. If your order arrives fully thawed or warm, send us a photo within 24 hours and we'll give you a full refund and you keep the product.

Where do you deliver, and how much is shipping?

We deliver across Metro Manila on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Order by 6pm the day before your delivery day.

Why frozen instead of fresh?

Because frozen at peak is how restaurants do it. Our seafood is frozen within hours of catch using sushi-grade standards. Every cut is paused at its absolute best, vacuum-sealed, and ready whenever you are. No malansa, no soft texture, no guesswork.

Can I refreeze seafood after thawing it?

We don't recommend refreezing fully thawed seafood. Texture suffers and quality drops.

But if you took it out of the freezer and changed your mind within a few hours (still icy cold, still partially frozen), it's fine to put back. Best practice: thaw only what you plan to cook that day.
